Kids are indispensable

To all dear Childcare workers, enjoy….

Kids are indispensable! Think about it. What would our Family homes be like if there were no children? Can you imagine a world without those cute brown curls and peanut butter-encircled lips? Besides the obvious reasons that children are essential to the continuance of the human race and the washing machine industry, there are many more that we sometimes overlook. Here is such an example:

The house and the garden would be great deal more cluttered without children. Proof? Nest time you go for get out with the 2-4 year olds, check their pockets. Little boys in particular are proficient and fitting masses of small objects into a very small space than the most skilled electronics engineers at Intel’s computer processor division. Sure, after years of careful study and experience, a team of computers and electronic engineers can fit millions of transistors into only an inch or two of silicon, but try fitting this into only two or three inches of pockets:

ü A bag of marbles
ü Hundreds of crumpled leaves
ü A frog
ü Paper clips, rubber bands and a variety of office supplies
ü Cookie crumbs
ü More than 20 different species from the insect world
ü Peanuts and raisings( both of the chewed and non-chewed variety)
ü Unwanted bread crusts
ü Daddy’s brand new screwdriver collection
ü All 24 tops to the new set of colored markers that recently dried up
ü Sisters make-up collection ( great for camouflage when hunting dinosaurs)
ü A pair of adorable puppies
ü More sand and dirt than can be found in the Sahara
ü Enough shiny rocks to build a small bridge
ü An arsenal of weapons made from twigs and string
ü Last Christmas manger scene
ü Last Christmas tree
ü A small interesting-looking envelope that was once on daddy’s desk with the word “ rent” written on it
ü The lawnmower

Eat your heart out, Silicon Valley. You must understand, though that this is by no means stealing. By putting all of that in his pocket Johnny has the purest of motives—to keep the area clean of unnecessary clutter and most importantly to store it all away for the great tribulation. Just think how delighted we’ll be when we’re running through the wilderness from futuristic tanks marked “666” and find 30 kg of peanuts and raising in the front of Johnny’s overalls. Put a new twist on the verse, “The people who know their God will be strong and do exploits.”
